Welcome to OzTradies ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
2. User Accounts
- Users may sign up as Tradies (service providers) or Clients (service seekers).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Service Description
OzTradies provides an online platform that allows:
- Tradies to create profiles, list their skills, set availability, and manage jobs.
- Clients to post job requests, view tradie profiles, and connect with tradies.
- Both users to communicate and manage bookings through the platform.
At this stage, OzTradies does not process payments between users. All payments (if any) are handled outside of the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Post false, misleading, or offensive content.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s operation.
- Collect or misuse other users’ personal information without consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User Content
- You retain ownership of the content you submit (profiles, job posts, messages, etc.).
- By submitting content, you grant OzTradies a limited, non-exclusive license to display and use it for the purpose of operating the Service.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your content.
6. Data & Privacy
- We collect and store user data (including profiles, job history, and communication logs) as part of providing the Service.
- Data is stored securely in our database.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
7. No Guarantees
- OzTradies is a platform only. We do not vet or guarantee the quality, safety, or reliability of tradies or clients.
- All agreements, jobs, and outcomes are strictly between users.
8. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, OzTradies is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from the use of the Service.
- We do not take responsibility for the performance of tradies or the accuracy of job listings.
9. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
